November 8 – Friday Evening
Registration Kick-off Gathering: Starting at 3 pm. Join us at Parkway Tavern in the District ajacient to Green Valley Ranch for a relaxed evening. Happy Hour drinks until 6 pm. Enjoy sponsored food, appetizers, and the First Drink Sponsored by Dray Crawford for Recoveryone drones chance to meet fellow drone professionals and enthusiasts.
November 9 – Saturday
Full Day of Activities: A Sunrise – some of your may want to venture out and catch a great Vegas video opportunity. At 9 am – 11 am back at Parkway Tavern thanks to our Sponsors – We have a full breakfast menu to choose from including soda, coffe or tea and we have a large area for some presentations and a Round Table discussion with multipe people about “The Future of the Drone Hobby and Small Business”
November 9 – Saturday Afternoon
After Breakfast and some lounging around the Party moves to Cornerstone Park officially at 1 pm. For the next hour and half we’ll have 2 Las Vegas area Food Trucks at the Park – Barbeque with amazing proportions and one of our favorite – Sin City Tacos ! And this is sponsored by DSPA and DAA – thanks to our friend Vic Moss we each get a $10 coupon for one of the great food trucks!!!
Raffle drawings all day long!
Red Rock Search and rescue and LVMetro Drone unit will do demonstrations. And we will have a Full Drone Soccer setup – 5 playera on each side ! Fun! – And Cornerstone Park is a beautiful place to fly your drones. If you are new to drones or never tried a drone we should have lot and lotsa of help available.
We will end official activities early Saturday about 5 pm at Sunset – with some breathtaking views to capture. Then – It’s Saturday Night in Las Vegas! Time to have some FUN!
November 10 – Sunday
On Sunday we are Celebrating – It’s the Marine Corp. Birthday and We have some couples celebrating Anniversaries and We can always find a reason to celebrate. Place to be decided!
Adventures is the day
We have worked up 8, and maybe more, great Drone Adventures around the Las Vegas area. You can go from 20-30 minutes away from Green Valley Ranch or 2+ hours away. Here’s what we have in mind
- Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
- Red Sprint A Desert Oasis
- Seven Magic Mountains
- Jean Dry Lake
- Lone Mountain Regional Park
- Lake Dolores Abandoned Water Park
- Liberty Sculpture Park
- Mount Charleston Desert View Overlook
There are many more place to go but these may offer a wide variety of breathtaking beauty. For those of you with vehicles here we will detail instuctions for mapping each location – including closest bathrooms and places to eat. We’ll find out who does not have transportation here in Las Vegas and hope fully pair you with local volunteer drone flyers. Please reimburse them for gas and expenses!
For those staying Sunday Night = We may have a very unformal wrap party — to be announced.
